The Sound of Music

Have you ever stopped and walked outside to listen to the sounds? Seen a musical play? Gone on youtube and just listen to anything that looked good/funny? Well lately I've been listening to a lot of music and haven't really had time to just have a moment of silience. I've noticed that there is music all around us. Whether it may be good or bad. Not only is "The Sound of Music" a movie made in 1959, but something most of us have in common in out everyday lives. We have sounds all around us.

Music is something that is so wonderful to the ears. Most don't take the time to notice that being able to hear is a gift. From listening to music with your friends to jumping to the beat.
Music can be from any instrument to natures sounds.

Imagen a world without sound. That world would be depressing to be honest. We wouldn't be able to communicate as clearly (Even though sometimes we make mistakes with words). Being able to hear different sounds like chripping birds, someones voice, and sometimes even burping.

Even though I haven't fully talked about any part of the movie. Just hearing that title today made me wonder. Life without sound. And if no one ever wondered our asked questions. Human life wouldn't be the same. From going to the moon to the deep depths of the ocean. I am so thankful to be able to hear, when some people out there don't know what the sound of a giggly child is to hiccups.

What have you wondered about today??:)

Valentines Day

Valentines Day is the worst holiday that should be celebrated; in my opionon at least. Why do schools make a big thing out of it. To encourage dating and things like that?!? Sure I understand must enjoyed it in elementary school, when you would buy cards for the entire class and put candy in them. But in Jr. High selling roses. School's are supposed to be encouraging teaching and learning. Not writing sending secret or not so secret roses. My point is I don't like Valentines Day. So if you do I'm sorry. Maybe I don't like it because I haven't found my "perfect match" yet, but thats okay too!

Birthday's!

Don't you just LOVE birthday's. You throw a party all your friends come and you have a blast. I'm so excited tomorrow's MY BIRTHDAY! I'm finally turning fifteen. My parents have been asking me for a while if a every wanted a Quinceara. Thats a South American culture when girl/boy have a party with LOTS of people and are introduced as a women/man but what I think of it I call it the "Dating Society." Personally I think that whole point of the party is point less. So I'm not having a Quinceara. Plus that would cost alot of money that would be usefull some where else. So I'm just going to have a small party and maybe start/finish Utahs' driving handbook. So soon I'll go get my permitt. I'm so excited!! Happy Birthday to Me!!

And just thinking of "Happy Birthday's" It crossed my mind. Where did that song come from??
Well here it is...

2 girls--2 sisters named Mildred J. and Patty S. Hill--are responsible.
At 1st, the Hills called their song "Good Morning to You!" and it was published under this title in 1893. Having gained no popularity, it was changed just a little, the words "Happy birthday" replacing "Good morning." One of the sisters was a kindergarten teacher when the other the Principle of that school in Lousiville.

How amazing is that! I would never have known that. Did you know?
